dö´s LEGO shopping guide to downtown Frankfurt a.M.

Your boss has send you on a business trip to Frankfurt and you have some spare time ? You are hanging around Frankfurt Airport waiting for a connecting flight ? Why not go for a little LEGO hunting ? There are two big department stores and one toy shop located in the pedestrian precinct of Frankfurt´s city center. It takes about 5 min to walk from point [a] to point [c]. The city center is easily reached by car or by train. There are of course more places where you can find LEGOs in Frankfurt but they are a waste of time imo.

[a] Kaufhof just opened their new toy department on the 5th floor. I think you´ll be able to find everything from the current catalog here. They are also the best source for reduced sets. Prices of all other sets are regular.

Monday 9.30am-8.00pm
Tuesday 9.30am-8.00pm
Wednesday 9.30am-8.00pm
Thursday 9.30am-8.00pm
Friday 9.30am-8.00pm
Saturday 9.00am-4.00pm

[b] Hertie tends to sell sets that are 5-20% more expensive than usual (for example at Kaufhof). You can find their toydepartment on the first floor. Once or twice a year they have some nice big models on display and there is always a pretty good chance to get something at a reduced price.

[c] Behle-Vedes is the only "real" toy shop (no departmentstore). However, Vedes is the name of a toy shop chain. So if you´re looking for a really old toyshop (with old sets), you´ll have to go to the outskirts of Frankfurt. LEGOs are on the first floor and there is a 30% chance to get some reduced sets.

Now you know were to go and look, but what if you are in a different city and you don´t know where to find the next toy shop that sells LEGO ? See the following examples and learn how to ask your way through.

"Bitte zeigen Sie mir den Weg zum nächsten Spielwarengeschäft."
Please show me the way to the next toy shop.
"Verzeihung, kennen Sie ein Geschäft, daß LEGO führt ?"
Excuse me, do you know a shop that is selling LEGO ?
"Können Sie mir den Weg auf meinem Plan zeigen ?"
Can you show me the way on my map ?
"Könnten Sie mir bitte die Richtung deuten ?"
Could you please point into the direction (of the shop) ?
Ich bin LEGO abhängig und benötige sofort ... !
I am a LEGO addict and need ... at once !
Danke.
Thanks.
